Male pattern baldness usually starts at age 18 onwards.

In most men it will start in their mid 20's to late 20's. If it is hereditary in both parents then it might start sooner, like 18 or 19.

If a guy is like 40 and hasn't lost hair already then it's most likely it's not genetic in his case. He might lose just a little with old age onwards.

I don't think there's a certain time when male pattern baldness will begin to present itself. I think it's dependent entirely upon genetics. I know a guy who's 26 but if you saw the back of his head, you'd think he's 56.

My grandfather started getting a bald spot at age 65, my father has a full head of hair, and I started to lose a little hair at the age of 20.

Balding is still a very mysterious condition that affects a large portion of both the male and female population. While we know some things that cause it (stress, age, genetics) we don't know how to cure it, only postpone it.

I got mine from over-stressing about college, since I graduated its stopped. So to your question, I don't know. It could happen to anyone at any time imo.

I know someone who's 64 and still has full head of hair. It is also genetic. I also know someone who started losing it at 19. His dad is completely bald and is42.
